Appreciation for Clients in the Middle East & Abroad

Since we launched in July of 2009, we have seen sales from all over the world. More notably, we have seen a steady increase in sales in countries of middle-eastern origin: UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, just to name a few. It is our sincerest hope that many of our clients in the middle-east, and abroad, are able to utilize Pocket Proxy to aid those in countries that may prohibit certain communications with the rest of the world.
Recently, we have also seen an increase in sales from Hong Kong. Along with our wishes to our clients from the middle-east, we extend our sincerest hopes of successes in China.

A World Wide iPhone App Success - Pocket Proxy

Pocket Proxy, the app that turns your iPhone or iPod Touch into a proxy server, has had world wide success. In addition to Brazil, France, Slovakia, Germany, United Arab Emeritus, Lebanon, and Japan, Pocket Proxy has now expanded to Canada, Italy, and Saudi Arabia!
Our world-wide success can be attributed to our easy and simple to use interface. It was designed in such a way that even people that do not natively speak English can easily operate their Pocket Proxy server.



The setup is very simple:
1.) Turn on pocket proxy
2.) Configure your wireless router to allow connections to your Pocket Proxy
3.) Deliver Pocket Proxy’s connection information to your client

An example of how Pocket Proxy works can be illustrated with the example below:
Image this: Bob is at home in California, and Jim is in New York. Bob isn't allowed to access site XYZ on his network. So, Bob calls Jim and tells Jim to turn on his Pocket Proxy. Jim turns on Pocket Proxy and configures his router. Bob can now set up his Firefox or Google Chrome browsers to use Jim's Pocket Proxy to browse site XYZ, all the way from California!

Some people do not have the ability, or technical knowledge to setup their own standard proxy server, but Pocket Proxy greatly simplifies this. To successfully operate Pocket Proxy, you only need to follow the steps described above. Now, due to Pocket Proxy’s simplicity, it is possible for more people to own their own proxy server. Pocket Proxy Goes Global!

Pocket Proxy – The Portable Proxy Server for the iPhone & iPod Touch has gone Global, so we would like to send a special thanks to all of our customers!As of today, Pocket Proxy has been sold in U.S. plus seven different countries: Brazil, France, Slovakia, Germany, United Arab Emeritus, Lebanon, and Japan!

The fact that proxy server can be carried around in your pocket gives it many advantages. Plus, the simple operation of Pocket Proxy enables it to be used by non-native English speakers. As when we released Pocket Proxy, the setup steps are simple:

1.) Turn on Pocket Proxy
2.) Configure your Wireless Router to enable connections to Pocket Proxy (port forwarding)
3.) Send your External IP and Port number to your clients.

As in our original post entitled Pocket Proxy – Portable Proxy Server, we do recommend that clients who connect to Pocket Proxy use either Firefox or Google Chrome browsers.
